Under the terms of our constitution as a Registered Charity we have to ask each new Applicant for a Proposer and Seconder who are both existing members of the Association..   If you are not able to provide details of such people, please allow us to complete this section for you.

Rules of Membership

Every application for new membership must be proposed and seconded by an adult member of the Association.   The name, address, and occupation of any person applying, and the name of the proposer and seconder shall, not less than three days before the election meeting at which the application is considered, be prominently displayed on the Notice Board in Hallam Community Hall.   Application for new membership will come before the next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association which is able to consider the Application and which has the power to elect or refuse to elect Membership at its sole discretion.   Membership shall be deemed to commence on receipt by the Applicant of a Membership Card which will be passed to the Section leader for distribution or posted to the Applicant providing a SAE is enclosed with the application sent direct to the Membership Secretary.
