Hallam Pre-School

 

 

Although Hallam Pre-School is a private venture, and not part of the Hallam Community and Youth Association, we are happy to be the host to a much needed local facility, and feel that by providing them with premises at a sensible rent we are helping our members and the local community to benefit from what they have to offer. Nevertheless, we must re-iterate that we cannot be held responsible for any act or ommission of Hallam Pre-School, but rest in the knowledge that they are OFSTED registered and monitored accordingly.

 

Welcome to Hallam Pre-School!


Hallam pre-school is open from 9.00 am until 1pm, Monday to Friday,
during school term time and provides a happy,stimulating and friendly
environment for children of 2 ˝ to 5 years old.  The pre-school runs
as an OFSTED registered childcare provision and actively encourages 
parents/ carers to join in with its activities, since we believe this
greatly aids children’s development.  We hold parents' meetings every
term along with coffee mornings to which all parents and carers are
welcome to attend. As an OFSTED registered ‘provider' we also offer
free sessions, to all three and four year olds in accordance with the
Government's nursery grant scheme.
Play, Learning & Development !

Our aim is to treat all children as individuals and to encourage them
to make new friends within a happy, supportive and positive setting,
promoting confidence and independence. We encourage our children to
learn and develop through play by interacting freely in a variety of
activities including games,painting, modelling, drawing, use of scissors,
colours, materials, etc.   Within all our sessions we focus on the six
areas of learning and the associated early learning goals of the Foundation
Stage using an 'Early Years tracking & progress’ record for each child.


Looking Towards Reception Year!
We hope that by the end of your child's time at Hallam Pre-School,
they will be prepared and ready to start school with the advantage
of already being used to spending a little time away from you while
having had a range of valuable learning experiences in a larger group
setting and also a friend or two to start school with!   Close links have
also been established with the reception year at the on-site Hallam
school for any children who will transition there from the pre-school.
