Swimming

Our group divides the pool between families with children enjoying a fun swim in a friendly and secure environment and lane swimmers. These include people seeking a fitness boost, "improvers", and social swimmers doing a few lengths between stopping for a chat. Swimming with a group like ours rather than in a public session is so much more pleasant because you are not having to avoid selfish torpedoes or jinxing around people travelling at all sorts of angles.

We meet every Saturday between 5 pm and 5.50 pm at King Edward VII Bath, Clarkehouse Road. Prices last year were £4 for adults, £2 for children, £3 for concessions, and £10 for a family ticket (if that's cheaper). The time of the regular session means that it doesn't interfere with evening activities. Regular or semi-regular swimming does produce noticeable health benefits, and being a group makes the activity more enjoyable, so why not come along and give it a try?
