Rambling



Why not join our relaxed friendly group of walkers! We walk about once per month, always on a Sunday, and normally cover a distance of 9 to 10 miles. We start between 10 am and 11 am and finish about 4 to 6 hours later. Regular coffee and lunch stops are a feature and we have even been known to visit a nearby pub.

If you'd like to go on one of the walks it would be a good idea to phone the leaders beforehand and confirm details. We'd be delighted to see some new faces.

Sunday 19th September - Circular walk Fairbrook/Kinder North Edge/Ashop Clough - Leaders Richard and Kay - Distance approx 10 miles - Duration approx. 5 and a half hours. Meet/Park 10.30 am prompt Birchen Clough Parking Area - about 500 metres beyond The snake Inn on the right hand bend heading in the Glossop direction.

Sunday 17th October - Circular walk, Ringinglow Area - Leaders Richard and Kay - Distance approx. 9 and a half miles - Duration approx 5 and a half hours - Meet/Park 10.30 am prompt at lay-by opposite Norfolk Arms Hotel, Ringinglow.

Sunday 14th November - Circular Walk Longshaw/Grindleford/Froggatt/Curbar - Leaders Richard and Kay - Distance approx. 10 miles - Duration approx. 5 and a half hours - Meet/Park 10.30 am prompt at The Fox House Inn car park.

Sunday 19th December - Circular Walk Ambergate/Whatstandwell/Crich/Ambergate - Leaders Richard and Kay - Distance aprox. 10 miles - Duration approx 5 and a half hours - Meet/Park 10.15 am prompt (note time) at Ambergate Station Car Park just off the A6 (This slightly earlier meet time is so we avoid getting back in the dark)
