T'ai Chi
T'ai Chi is a gentle form of exercise suitable for men and women of all ages
and levels of fitness. Its slow, controlled movements serve to exercise all
parts of the body, promoting mental and physical health and relieving stress.
The class concentrates on learning the movements of the t'ai chi form, breathing
and stretching exercises.
This mixed class
is held on Tuesdays from 7.45pm until 9.15pm. The cost is £3 per person
and is payable each week. No previous knowledge of t'ai chi is necessary. If
you are interested in joining the group give Gill a call to find out some more
so you can come along to our class. You will be made very welcome. Wear
loose clothing and lightweight footwear.

Yoga
Yoga is a way of developing awareness of our bodies, how we use then and how
we might be abusing them. Our aim is to have a healthy body and a relaxed mind
and free ourselves from the unwanted stresses and tensions of everyday life.
We do this by improving breathing techniques and gentle stretching exercises,
followed by yoga postures (asanas) and finish with a short period of relaxation.
All ages and mixed abilities are welcome. Wear loose clothing, such as leggings
or leotard and tights and bring a foam camping mat to lie on. The cost is £3.50,
and is payable every week. We meet on Tuesdays from 8 pm to 9.30 pm in the Hallam
Community Hall. New members are advised to ring either Christine or Pam beforehand
in case the class is already full.
